Now before you can start screen recording, you need to add the Screen Recorder shortcut to the quick settings panel. To do this, swipe down from the top of your screen to access the quick settings panel. Then, swipe left until you see the end of the list, and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Select “Button order” or “Button layout” from the options, and then drag the Screen Recorder icon to the quick settings panel.

Solution 1: Recording by Built-in Recorder #

One of the easiest ways to screen record on a Samsung device is to use the built-in screen recorder. This feature is available on most Samsung devices running Android.

To access the screen recorder, please follow below steps.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification Panel or Quick Settings.
Look for the “Screen recorder” icon in and tap on it.

Once the “Screen Recorder” option is tapped then we get confirmation message as shown below.

When we agree to above confirmation the screen will automatically start recording.

We can also customize the different screen recording options as explain below.

When your ready to stop the video simply tap the the icon with a square inside a circle.

Customize the Screen Recorder #

You can also customize the Screen Recorder according to your requirements such as change the quality of the recorded videos. For that purpose you can take following steps.

Swipe down the screen to gain access to your Notifications Panel and click and hold for a while on the “Screen Recorder” option.

After that you can choose your preffered or required sound and video quality. When you are done choosing click on the “Done” option to confirm your choice.

There are also some advanced features for the Screen Recorder. They can be accessed by going to your settings. Then scroll down and find and select the “Advanced Features“.

This is another method to find the settings of the Screen Recorder.

Now select the “Screenshots and screen recorder” option.

Now click on the “Screen recorder settings“.

Choose your required settings such as the Sound or Video quality and Selfie video size options.

Note In the Selfie video size there are 5 levels. Also Selfie video is only for the front camera.

Location of Screen Recordings #

After you have completed Recording your Screen. You might want to access or view the recordings at another time. You can do that by going to their location in the file manager. To locate the screen recordings follow the below steps.

Open the “My Files” app.

Select the “Videos” option.

From here go to the “Screen Recordings” option.

Now you can view all your screen recordings.

Solution 2: Screen Recording Using Third-Party Apps #

There are several third-party apps that can be used to record the screen Mobizen, AZ Recorder, DU Recorder, etc. And the one that we will be discussed here in this article in called Mobizen.

Mobizen is a great screen recorder.  Additionally, it enables viewing, editing and sharing of your recordings. It comes with a settings menu that allows you to change video resolution up to 1080p and frame rate up to 60fps and adjust audio settings as well.

Now first of all, go to play store. Then download and install the app. After that start the app.

When you open Mobizen, you will notice its icon on the screen’s side as shown below in first picture. Tap the icon to see options that include Record video, see your saved content and take a screenshot. Choose the “Record” option(If you are running the software for the first time, ensure that you provide app permission to record).

A pop-up which reads that “Mobizen will start capturing video” will show up and you can choose “Don’t show again” as per wish. After that continue with screen recording by clicking on “Start now”.

In three seconds, the screen recording will start and so you can perform all the steps that you want to record.

Note This screen recorder can also record App screen and Home screen.
Tip The screen recorder icon shows a timer for recording period.

To complete process of screen recording, tap the “Mobizen” icon and choose the “Stop” function. A message will be displayed to let you decide between deleting and watching the video. If you choose to save the video then the completed video will appear in the “Gallery” app in a folder named “Mobizen”.
