About a year and a half ago we already published a manual detailing the steps needed to disable system apps in MIUI 11 without Root Access. At that time, however, the manual was cumbersome, did not work on all Xiaomi devices and required additional software.
How to disable unwanted stock apps on any Xiaomi device?
Now we have fast, easy and secure way to disable almost any pre-installed app without making any effort or installing extra soft.
- First of all, go to “Settings” and enter “Usage Access” in the search bar, as shown in the screenshot below:
- A list of all installed applications will appear, including pre-installed system apps;
- In the list of presented apps select those you don’t need;
- Tap “Disable” (or “Delete”, for instance).
And finally, a little tip. If “Disable” (or “Delete”, or “Stop”) button isn’t active, try first to switch your region in the settings. It would help. How to switch MIUI region we posted here. Then restart your device and do steps as above. Hope that you will succeed in disabling built-in applications.
