If you received a new push notification through any chat app, such as WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram, then the “Contents hidden” message may appear on your Galaxy’s lock screen. You may ask: why do you need to unlock the smartphone to view the preview of the received message? The answer lies in the company’s desire to protect the user’s personal data. However, the manufacture left the option to disable this feature and today we will tell you how to get rid of “Contents hidden” on Samsung Galaxy devices.
How to show lock screen notification content?
- Open your device settings;
- Find “Lock screen and security” section;
- Select “Notifications” item;
- “Hide content” is probably what you’re looking for.
Now, if you receive any notification, you will see a text message displayed directly on the device lock screen.
I turned off this setting on my Samsung A71 but still recieve "Content hidden" in notification for each email I get in Samsung email app. I unisntalled MS Outlook, turned off edge lightning and checked email app settings but nothing helped. It worked fine with my previous phone Huawei P9.
I've tried everything possible and can't unhide hidden notifications on my Samsung Galaxy 10e. I'm beyond frustrated and don't know what to do!
Likewise, I have had Samsung for years and always just switched this option off. S21 personal phone, this is switched off and works fine. A71 switched off and having issues.
I follow the directions and still see the "Content Hidden". really !!!!
