Previously, we have already prepared an article about how you can easily disable unnecessary system apps on Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones without root access. But the previous manual was quite complicated for the average user and required the installation of additional software. We recently found out that a simpler way to disable stock applications on smartphones running MIUI 12. Now you do not need to install any third-party programs, as all the necessary software is already on any Xiaomi device.
How to disable stock apps in MIUI 12?
- Turn off the dark theme (for some reason the method does not work when the dark theme is on);
- Then go to Google Play, open the side menu, and select “Help & feedback”;
- Now “Delete or disable apps on Android” -> “Tap to go to Applications Settings”;
- A list of all installed applications will appear on the screen. All that remains is to select and disable unnecessary system apps.
Please note: applications are not deleted from the smartphone’s memory, but only disabled.
Great. That is the clean and legal and only the right way to do that. Thanks
