How to disable long press fingerprint shortcuts in MIUI 12?

Xiaomi, one of the most important manufacturers in the smartphone market, is constantly updating its MIUI software skin and adding new functions. With MIUI 12, the company has introduced many innovations and important features for Xiaomi and Redmi phones. However, such a rapid development of the firmware makes it difficult for ordinary users to deal with all the available settings. That’s why many Xiaomi users have to turn to specialized forums to find answers to configuring MIUI. One such issue is the ability to disable the shortcuts menu that appears during a long press on the under-display fingerprint sensor.

  1. Go to “Settings” -> “Password & security”;

  2. Open “Fingerprint unlock”;

  3. Then go to “Shortcuts”;

  4. Set the slider of “Fingerprint shortcuts” to “Off”.

That’s it. If you have any questions feel free to share them with us in the comment section below.
